“Bitter? Who, Me?”
Charlie Daniels Scolds Obama On Firearms Quote
Southern-rock icon Charlie Daniels is well known for being politically outspoken. His most recent remarks take Barrack Obama to task for an interview he gave where he suggested that bitter small-town Americans cling to guns or religion. After taking some heat, Obama attempted to clarify his position, saying, “The underlying truth of what I said remains, which is simply that people who have seen their way of life upended because of economic distress are frustrated and rightfully so.”
“He said something to the effect that us rednecks cling to our guns and our religion when we get frustrated,” said Daniels. “I would like to take umbrage to these remarks. My faith goes much deeper than his superficial explanation, and I love my guns even when I’m not frustrated.” Continue reading ‘“Bitter? Who, Me?”’
